Default AvP Classic Redux Mod

Some of you may remember Mad Max RW from AvP News, GameGossip, or Gamespy Arcade. Well he's back and he's working on a very ambitious mod for AvP Classic. It is going to be a complete overhaul of the game including the menus, HUD, textures, sounds, etc.


Check out the mods' site here and take a look at some of the screenshots and videos. This looks very promising and has been bookmarked for future reference. Keep your eyes open for more news as the mod progresses.

I tried this out once on subway and he had jacked up spots on the windows where the alien tail would strike like as if it were an item or enemy.

You're making things up. I didn't change anything in the level geometry. You're mistaken.

The original map does that exact same thing, nanny boy. You can also jump outside of the map as the predator and alien. Is that my fault, too? How about the alien wall-walking glitching out on 90 degree angles. Did my textures magically go back in time 10 years and create that problem? You're grasping at straws, nanny boy.

And that glitch is caused by Rebellion using a placed object or poly for a unique animated texture where the shape of a woman appears in the window. There are many places throughout the game where the tail autolocks on seemingly random stuff. If you played the game for as long as you claimed you would have known this.
